Notes from Paul’s Creek July 2010
Monday, March 15th, 2010We have had such an amazing year, MerleFest, LEAF, Stecoah Valley Performing Arts Center, the list of wonderful jobs and friends grows, we can’t thank everyone enough! The Paul’s Creek CD is airing around the globe and has played in Germany, Australia, Israel and across the US on public radio stations and the CD is still available at the link above. Thanks so much to the huge crowd who attended Paul’s Creek’s CD release party at Pack’s Tavern and apologies to all who were turned away or couldn’t get a seat. Arvil Freeman played the Hayes and Hopson Building for 14 years when it was Bill Stanley’s Barbecue and Bluegrass and played awesome fiddle there with the Paul’s Creek Band. Love Ya’ Arvil!
This weekend is Bluff, Paul’s Creek plays at 4:45 but there are great acts all day. And Wow, MerleFest was amazing. Carol was honored to be the contest vocalist and danced a set with Doc Watson and David Holt too. The band played Saturday and had a blast. PLaying at LEAF rocked too! Charles Magoffin did a fine job of editing a TV show of Paul’s Creek for URTV too. We had a personal television first and appeared on two TV channels at same time when a show we taped at the Bristol Speedway for Fast Track aired at the same time on the Speed Channel as we appeared on URTV.
